The Material
Subfossil oak is a rare natural material formed over thousands of years.
Ancient oak trunks preserved beneath riverbeds were shielded from oxygen, preventing natural decomposition. Over millennia, slow mineralization transformed the wood, giving it its distinctive dark tones and increased density.
The result is a material shaped by time itself — impossible to replicate artificially. Each slab preserves a unique grain and mineral signature, making every piece singular. Its deep, rich coloration developed naturally, with an intense dark tone that cannot be achieved without artificial treatment.

Each table is crafted from carefully selected slabs of subfossil oak, paired with bases sculpted from lava stone sourced from Mount Etna. Together these materials create sculptural pieces that unite natural history, craftsmanship, and contemporary design. Customizable in length, width, and thickness.
Parquet
Subfossil oak is particularly suited for parquet flooring, where its natural tonal variation becomes fully visible across large surfaces. Shades range from deep mineral blacks to warmer brown tones, creating floors with remarkable depth and character.
Decorative Patterns
